Itinerary
Arrive at Paro with stunning aerial views of the Himalayas, including Jumolhari and Jichu Drake peaks. After arrival, visit Paro Dzong, cross the traditional cantilever bridge, and explore the National Museum (Ta Dzong). Later, continue your journey to Thimphu, Bhutan’s charming capital. Overnight in Thimphu.
Attend the Thimphu Tshechu at Tashichho Dzong, where locals gather in traditional dress to witness vibrant mask dances and spiritual performances. Overnight in Thimphu.
Visit Buddha Dordenma and the National Memorial Chorten in the morning. In the afternoon, return to the festival grounds for more festivities. Overnight in Thimphu.
Drive across Dochula Pass (3,100m) with views of the Himalayas. Visit the majestic Punakha Dzong, suspension bridge and then enjoy a short hike to Chimi Lhakhang, the fertility temple. Overnight in Punakha.
Hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten for stunning valley views. Continue to Thimphu to visit the National Library and Folk Heritage Museum, before driving on to Paro. Overnight in Paro.
Hike to the legendary Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest) perched 900m above the valley. In the afternoon, visit Kyichu Temple which was built by King Songtsen Gempo in 7th century. Overnight in Paro.
Drive back to Paro International Airport. Farewell and departure with unforgettable memories. Have a pleasant flight back home.
