A Journey Through Festivals, Fortresses, and Himalayan Valleys

The Paro Tshechu Festival is one of Bhutan’s most vibrant and iconic celebrations, held each spring in the Paro Valley. The festival is a spectacular display of Bhutanese culture, where monks and laypeople perform sacred masked dances in elaborate costumes, symbolizing stories of Guru Rinpoche and Buddhist teachings. A highlight of the festival is the unfurling of the Thongdrol, a giant religious scroll, believed to cleanse sins and bless all who witness it.

This tour combines the festive spirit of Paro with Bhutan’s cultural gems—ancient monasteries, majestic fortresses, scenic valleys, and spiritual sites—along with opportunities to explore the capital Thimphu, the cultural heartland of Bumthang, and the historic Punakha Dzong. It’s a perfect way to immerse yourself in Bhutanese traditions while experiencing the natural beauty of the Himalayas.
